We were incredibly proud to celebrate our wonderful Marjorie’s milestone birthday – 104 years – here at Loose Valley Care Home last week.
Her family, Laurence and Kay, came along with a friend to celebrate this very special day with her. Kay made her a fruit cake and she also received a birthday cake from us at Loose Valley. She was surrounded by balloons, gifts and lots of cards to open.
It was fantastic to help her celebrate this wonderful day, sing ‘Happy birthday‘ to her and make a fuss of her. Our Recreation and Well-Being Team members gave her a little pamper session for the day, with a manicure and nails painted with a colour of her choice.
Our lovely birthday girl was asked “What’s the secret of living a long life and reaching 104?“, she replied: “Manuka honey, oh and a full English breakfast every day!”
