Singer Jason
We were delighted to welcome entertainer Jason Allen to our Care Home in Maidstone on Tuesday 7 April, for a lively musical performance. With the sun shining, we made the most of our lovely outdoor space by gathering in the garden under our gazebo.
Jason treated us to a fantastic selection of classics from legendary artists including Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, quickly getting everyone into the swing of things. He also performed popular hits by Michael Bublé and showcased his tribute to Spandau Ballet, offering a wonderful mix of timeless favourites.
It was the perfect setting to relax, enjoy the fresh air and share the joy of live music together – something we always cherish whenever the weather allows. Our residents sang along, clapped to the rhythm and thoroughly enjoyed the uplifting atmosphere.
Birthday wishes
Our resident Steph celebrated her wonderful 96th birthday on Monday 13 April, and the celebrations began with a cheerful chorus of ‘Happy birthday‘ from our team. She was presented with a beautiful carrot cake topped with cream cheese icing and decorated with edible carrots – her perfect birthday treat.
She was thrilled to receive many cards, flowers and thoughtful messages, along with lovely visits from family and friends who helped make her day extra special. We decorated her room with balloons and banners and in the afternoon, she kindly shared her delicious cake with fellow residents over a relaxing cup of tea. Billy our cat also stopped by for some birthday cuddles!
