On the morning of Tuesday 7 April, we took three residents from our Care Home on a delightful outing to the beautiful Mote Park in Maidstone. The journey was a short and pleasant drive in our minibus, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing few hours outdoors.
Once we arrived, we enjoyed a gentle stroll down to the lake, where we loved watching the ducks and geese. With families and children visiting the park during the Easter holidays, there was a cheerful atmosphere by the water.
We spent some time sitting by the lakeside, watching visitors feed the ducks and soaking up the warm sunshine – a wonderful opportunity for our residents to connect with nature and the local community.
Afterwards, we visited the park café for coffee and biscuits. While relaxing together, we chatted about the history of Mote Park and its well-known features, including the stately home and miniature railway.
It was a lovely morning out, filled with fresh air and lovely scenic views.
