Here at Loose Valley Care Home, we’ve prepared a special ‘bird banquet’ for our garden for local wildlife to enjoy. We filled our mini garden picnic table and a large dish with a generous selection of nuts, seeds and peanuts – a true winter feast for the birds (and squirrels!) that regularly visit. Our carefully arranged displays create a lovely seasonal scene to encourage a connection with nature.
We love watching the birds and squirrels in our garden arrive to feed – it’s such a calming and rewarding sight. With our spacious outdoor area, there is plenty of room for wildlife to explore safely while being observed by our residents and team members from the comfort of indoors.
Providing extra food during the colder months helps support wildlife when natural resources are limited, as we start to anticipate the arrival of spring.
