On Friday 16 July our residents at Loose Valley Care Home were transported to the tropical islands of the Caribbean as part of our Nellsar Cruise arm chair travel escapades!
Recreation and Well-Being Champions Ella and Hayley set up a tropical paradise under our garden pagoda.
Residents were treated to the sultry notes of a steel band and mocktails were served in authentic coconut cups.
We enjoyed games of ‘throw the hoop over the flamingo’s head‘ ….a hilarious game with Caribbean themed prizes to be won!
Our residents had a splendid time eating fresh fruit and enjoying ice lollies in the glorious sunshine, which encouraged them to talk and meet some of our newer ladies and gents.
For our newer residents, this was one of their first events at Loose Valley and we hope to see them at many more!
