Music from Sherbet Dip
Sherbet Dip – our favourite dazzling drag queen act – came to entertain our Loose Valley Care Home residents with a wonderful musical performance on Tuesday 18 February.
We were thrilled when she (aka Harry) came in to see us again for an hour of singalong tunes, including music by Adele and also some Country music.
Of course a photoshoot with Sherbet Dip was required, and we got some great pictures!
Celebrating muffins
To celebrate National Muffin Day in February, our residents made some sweet muffin treats for a fun activity.
All the ingredients were weighed out into bowls and once our residents had stirred it all together, they placed it into cake cases ready for baking. We used baking powder to make sure they rose well in the oven, which of course they did, and smelt amazing!
Muffins are such delicious cakes, with lots of choices of fillings – blueberries, cherry and choc chip, apricot and cranberries.
Tea and muffins were served at 3pm and enjoyed by everyone that afternoon.
