Loose Valley Care Home residents visit Kenward Trust

A group of our residents at Loose Valley Care Home took the minibus down to Kenward Trust last Thursday.

We came down the long sweeping driveway down to a huge white manner house; it was a cold day but nice and dry. We were met by the wonderful staff there who had bought their group of seven Alpacas down from their field into a smaller pen which was accessible by wheelchair, especially for us.

We were able to feed the Alpacas from bowls and give them a cheeky stroke. We were told everything about them, who all range from four to seven-years-old. They were such friendly boys, and the experience was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

We then made our way into the house where they have a gift shop with lots of small gifts and treats that goes into their charity, and then through to the café where we all enjoyed a nice hot drink and a cake. We had two resident’s sons also tag along which made for a fantastic morning out – we can’t wait to visit back in the summer!
