Loose Valley Care Home residents enjoy a Notcutts trip and fudge making

Trip to Notcutts

On Tuesday 21 November our Loose Valley Care Home residents very much enjoyed a trip out to our local garden centre, Notcutts.

We took Evelyn, June and Ada to have a look at all the Christmas decorations and do a bit of Christmas shopping. We also had Ada’s daughter and granddaughter come along too.

We wandered through all of the Christmas displays and made our way to the café where we had tea, coffee and cake, plus a good old chit chat of course! Everyone had a great time out.

Fudge fun!

On Thursday we tried our hands at making chocolate fudge. Evelyn and Joy got stuck right in as it takes a lot of muscle to get the mixture into a dough!

We rolled it out, cut it to size and left it to set. We can’t wait to see how it turns out as it’s looking like it will be a winner!
