Happy birthday Maureen
Last week we enjoyed celebrating Maureen’s 85th here at Loose Valley Care Home.
Maureen went out with her family to a lovely country pub about 10 minutes away and she had such a good day out, she couldn’t stop talking about it when she got back.
She was showered with presents, cards and balloons, and of course we had to present her with a delicious birthday cake (the day after her birthday trip out) so we could celebrate her special day too.
Many happy returns Maureen!
Diwali crafts
Last week we also enjoyed making Diwali cards during our arts and crafts session and used lots of bright colours, fitting for such a colourful celebration!
Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights with variations also celebrated in other Indian religions. It symbolises the spiritual ‘victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
