Our wonderful Easter bunny (aka Paula!) delivered chocolate eggs to each of our residents in their rooms on Easter Sunday morning here at Loose Valley Care Home.
Our ladies and gents were thrilled to see the bunny hop by to present them with a delicious chocolate gift.
We welcomed family members to join in the celebrations with their loved ones and served a traditional Sunday lunch and supper menu, packed with a delicious selection of choices:
Lunch menu
Roast chicken with sage and onion stuffing
Roast leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic
Served with roast parsnips, potatoes and fine beansStewed spring plums
Raspberry cheesecakeSupper menu
Mushroom and thyme soup
Sausage and leek crumble, topped with mature cheddarMid morning and afternoon tea treats
Simnel cake, hot cross buns and mini muffins
As part of the day’s celebrations we shared Easter quizzes, jokes and facts on traditions around the world. Our themed jokes were so bad, but that’s what made everyone laugh – we ‘cracked up‘ at the egg jokes, and noted that the Easter bunny had ‘eggs-perience‘ so was very good at his job…plus he was ‘all ears‘!
We had a fantastic Easter….it was eggs-ellent!
