Celebrating Halloween at Loose Valley Care Home

Pumpkin painting

On the run up to Halloween at Loose Valley Care Home, we decided to paint some pumpkins to use as decorations for the spooky season.

Our residents had fun painting faces and shapes on a variety of pumpkins and were delighted to see them on display for everyone to admire. Once Halloween is over, there won’t be any waste as we have our Head Chef on the case to make some delicious pumpkin soup for everyone….yum!

Halloween fun

On Tuesday 31 October we had lots of fun for Halloween and decorations galore set the scene perfectly.

Some of our lovely residents including Evelyn, Ada and Barbara joined in and dressed up for the occasion.

We took our hands to making some spooky jewellery using beads and silver pendants, and we also enjoyed some Halloween drawing.

To end the day we had sweets to enjoy, and Halloween inspired tea and cakes in the afternoon.

It was all positively spooktacular!
