Mothering Sunday treats at Loose Valley Care Home

On Sunday 10 March we celebrated Mothering Sunday at Loose Valley Care Home and families with great-grandchildren came to visit, and loved ones with gifts of flowers, chocolate and cards showed their appreciation of their mums.

Singer Kevin Walsh entertained us with a special Mother’s Day afternoon of love songs. Our Recreation and Well-Being Team had put together roses and love heart keyrings for Kevin to give out to our ladies while singing ‘Will You Love me Tomorrow?‘. Our residents absolutely loved their flowers, and being serenaded by Kevin really made their day.

We also received wonderful gift boxes for Mother’s Day full of goodies from Loose Valley School. These were packed with delicious croissants, pain au chocolate, iced biscuits, tea, orange juice and strawberries.

It was such a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift for our residents, which they all enjoyed for afternoon tea.

A very big thank you to Loose Valley Primary School for thinking of us and gifting us such wonderful goodies!

All our residents said how much they had enjoyed their special day.
