Loose Valley Care Home residents take a trip on the Kentish Lady

On Tuesday 15 August we took a minibus down to Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone and walked down to the Kentish Lady with a small group of our residents from Loose Valley Care Home.

We boarded the boat with Barbara, Bob and Doug, along with our fabulous volunteer David, and set off in the direction of Allington Lock.

During the journey down we enjoyed a drink from the onboard bar and took in all the sights with accompanying commentary which gave lots of interesting facts along the way.

We went right past Allington Castle which was lovely to see and stopped just before Allington Lock where we turned around and headed back for the return journey. Another drink was enjoyed before arriving back at Archbishop’s Palace and returning home.

A really wonderful afternoon was had by all on a glorious day.
