Last week here at Loose Valley Care Home, we travelled to Venice for the day!
Our Recreation and Well-Being Champion Paula made all our fabulous decorations, including our gondola, and transformed our conservatory into an Italian paradise.
We decided to choose Italy as our resident Ada is Italian, so we asked for her input when we were deciding the menu for the day to make sure we got things just right.
Our Kitchen team served antipasti to start, lamb pasta, garlic mushrooms, Italian roast potatoes, chicken wrapped in Parma ham, ravioli, biscuits galore, San Pellegrino and of course great coffee!
In the afternoon we enjoyed a game of Italian-themed bingo and also had fun decorating venetian masks together. We also shared lots of fascinating facts about Italy.
Everyone had a fantastic day and as usual our Home cat Billy got involved in the fun!
