This month we celebrated Bob’s 78th birthday here at Loose Valley Care Home. This was an important birthday for Bob this year for several reasons and he really wanted to celebrate it with a party, so of course we made that happen for him.
We got lots of decorations, balloons and banners, and had a Japanese theme as this is Bob’s favourite culture for food and drink. We made a personal playlist for Bob with his favourite singers and groups for everyone to enjoy.
The day before his birthday we took a taxi into Maidstone town to do a spot of shopping; Bob bought enough cakes to feed the five thousand, including a white chocolate one for him to share with the other residents, a milk chocolate one for our staff to enjoy and a huge tray of doughnuts to top things off! He also bought some elderflower cordial and fizzy water for something a little different.
Bob received lots of gifts, cards and visits from friends and family and enjoyed a truly wonderful day.
