Chirpy chick pet therapy at Loose Valley Care Home

Tuesday 27 July was Pet Therapy day here at Loose Valley Care Home and our residents took it in turns to hold our adorable new baby chicks.

They were very chirpy and had a lot to say when they were taken away from their brothers or sisters!

They are three weeks old now and came from our hens in the garden. We chose the letter F to name them all – Felicity, Frankie and Fernando – as their daddy is called Frederick.

We enjoyed chatting about the different breeds and what colours they would turn into.

We particularly liked the yellow one, as most chicks when pictured or drawn are the classic yellow colour!
