Our residents at Loose Valley Care Home were transported to Spain on the evening of Friday 23 April, resting alongside a lovely beach back drop and listening to traditional Spanish music as the sun set over the horizon.
Whilst relaxing in the exotic Spanish resort, our residents were made to feel special by wearing red Spanish roses in their hair and being treated to samples of traditional Spanish cuisine including paella, Spanish meatballs, patatas bravas (spicy potatoes) and of course sangria!
The special arm chair travel experience was topped off by some Spanish bingo! Numbers were called out in Spanish – and the first resident to get a line and call out ‘bingo!’ won our prize bull (….saved from the clutches of Spanish bull fighting!).
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we can’t wait to explore our next destination in May – Italy!
