Serious scrabble at Loose Valley Care Home

Scrabble is a much-loved word game for two to four players, which we very much enjoy here at Loose Valley Care Home.

It’s a fun way to exercise the brain and our mathematic skills too. Our residents really enjoy a good game of scrabble and it’s always a great conversation starter. Our ladies got immersed in an impressive game this week, which was lovely to see!

We held a Halloween party at Loose Valley on Wednesday, when we welcomed family and friends to come along in fancy dress if they wished. Great fun was had by all – with no tricks just lots of treats!

We also have some other up and coming events to share…

We’ll be hosting an afternoon with singer Kevin Walsh on Tuesday 13 November at 2pm. He’ll be performing his ‘A trip down memory lane‘ musical act, entertaining us with his medley of hits songs from the past. Do come along!

And Saturday 8 December is the date of our Christmas party this year. Starting at 2pm, entertainer Barry will get us all in the festive spirit with his repertoire of Christmas and wartime sing-a-long tunes, hits from the 1950s and 60s, as well as country and western music and dancing. There will be something for everyone, so make sure you get the date on the calendar – you’ll be in for a great time!
