Japanese day at Loose Valley Care Home

Our final Nellar cruise destination was Japan last week here at Loose Valley Care Home.

We filled our conservatory with freshly picked flowers, wisteria, orchids and cherry blossom lights to set the scene, and had a wonderful fun-filled day, with lots of conversations about everything Japanese.

Our Head Chef Joe made a fabulous array of foods for everyone to try – soups, rice, sauces, tempura prawns, Katsu curry, chicken noodles and to finish, some gorgeous ice cream (lemon and ginger, and sesame and honey) and fresh melon. Our residents really enjoyed all the delicious treats on offer…one of our residents had two helpings of lunch as he wanted to try everything!

We will definitely be adding in some of the foods into our menu choices. It’s so important to add cuisines from different countries to tempt the tastebuds and spark travel conversations.
