A merry Christmas at Loose Valley Care Home

Tiger School

Tiger Primary School children hand-made our residents here at Loose Valley Care Home some lovely Christmas cards with special messages inside – thank you all so much! These cheerful cards really bring a smile to our residents’ faces.

Yummy Christmas lunch

The tables were set beautifully for our traditional roast turkey lunch; residents admired the beautiful flower displays, enjoyed a glass of bubbly, red wine, bucks fizz or sherry with their meal.

Robin Hood pantomime

Our residents enjoyed watching a Robin Hood pantomime oh yes they did! Our lady Jean didn’t feel like coming out of her room to watch it – so we took it into her on the laptop; she joined in with the classic “It’s behind you!” and sang along to the Christmas carols at the end.

Bel Canto Sopranos

Loose Valley had a real treat – a special, personalised performance from a classical crossover group call the Bel Canto Sopranos. The one hour virtual concert was put together with special video messages from our residents family messages – what a wonderful surprise! It was lovely to see their reactions when family members popped up on screen to say “Merry Christmas!”.

Everyone who watched the concert, whether together in the conservatory or from the comfort of their own room, absolutely loved it!
