Through the Decades with Jason Allen at Loose Valley Care Home

Jason Allen entertained us yesterday here at Loose Valley Care Home. He performed tracks through the decades, from Michael Bublé, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Elton John and the Rat Pack. He really mixed it up and sang “Cry me a River”, “Come Fly With Me”, “Mack the Knife” and “Your Song”.

Jason also sang “Be My Baby” from the 1987 film ‘Dirty Dancing’ which was set in 1960s America. Jason was amazing and has a beautiful voice; he had us singing along and being his backing singers!

As “Kent’s No1 Swing Singer”, Jason frequently performs at Jazz clubs, hotels, hen parties and weddings. He sings solo and as part of the Jason Allen Sway Band. Also an experienced actor, Jason appeared in “The Investigator” – a true-crime documentary series, BBC’s Eastenders and comedy series “Come Fly With Me”. He has been in various short films as well.

Recreation and Well-Being Champions Paula and Hayley said:
“You can’t beat having a live singer with a smooth voice; Jason was outstanding and literally got us ‘into the swing’ of things. He was very charming, professional and courteous throughout; I cant recommend him enough. Jason really made the performance and atmosphere incredible – everyone loved him. We cant wait to have another event when Jason can sing for us again!”

Billy the cat and Bella the rabbit enjoyed it too!
