We had a summer BBQ party here at Loose Valley Care Home on 3 August for our residents and family members; everyone embraced the spirit of the 1969 era with a Woodstock theme, wearing bandanas with flowers in our hair.
Our residents got creative and made felt flower decorations in the lead up to the party, and Rob T entertained us with his music on the day. We enjoyed singing and dancing to 60s classics – it took us all down memory lane.
The weather was perfect! Our team members, residents and their families all dressed up in bright colourful tops and flower patterns, and we had a delicious BBQ buffet. After eating sausages, burgers, pulled pork, chicken nuggets and sides, we enjoyed a wonderful cake for dessert.
