Snowball shenanigans at Loose Valley Care Home

Our festive reindeer snowball fight is a really fun activity which has become a tradition here at Loose Valley Care Home!

It’s a snowball fight with a difference, as our snowballs are soft wool pom-poms and our targets are our Recreation and Well-Being team members!

Our residents lined up (and limbered up!) for an indoor snowball fight – Paula and Jisna were the target reindeer, with antlers on their heads, hiding behind festive Christmas trees and running in and out. Our residents said “It was great to be daft for a while!” Paula and Jisna scrambled to keep up and restock the soft ammunition!

Our snowball fight is more than just fun and games. It’s a way to keep physically active instead of a traditional ‘workout’. It got our residents moving and they didn’t need any motivating!

This seasonal game brought out our competitive sides, seeing who could pelt the reindeers and get a direct hit. Lots of smiles, laughing and fun was had by all, including our jolly reindeer!
