Remembrance crafts at Loose Valley Care Home

Remembering those lost in war is very important to us at Loose Valley Care Home so we have been busy this week with remembrance crafts to decorate our Home in tribute to them.

On Tuesday 5 November we created some poppies out of tissue paper and added them onto card to display them. We also made some wreaths for our reception area and a bunch of poppies with pipe cleaners for stalks.

Thousands of horses, dogs and pigeons were killed in action alongside our brave soldiers over the years, so not forgetting these brave creatures, we made some purple poppies to remember those we lost in World War 1.

Our residents also enjoyed a painting class this week and we have some lovely picture of landscapes, apples and poppies, which we have added to our artwork display in our Reception.
