Plans for celebrating Chinese New Year at Loose Valley Care Home

We are excited to be planning a special Chinese New Year celebration day on Tuesday 24 January here at Loose Valley Care Home.

2023 is the ‘Year of the Rabbit’ and we’re going to be hosting a fantastic day of Chinese themed activities, including:

• Chinese inspired dressing up for our residents which includes some wonderful red Chinese Mandarin hats and yellow Coolie hats
• Staff non-uniform day, with traditional Cheongsam dresses, red tops or kimonos
• Decorations including parasols, Chinese lanterns, flags and dragon banners and cut outs
• Chinese music and a painting class with Chinese letters and dragons

Our tastebuds will also be tempted by a Chinese inspired menu at lunchtime:

Prawn crackers
Spring rolls

Sweet and Sour Pork
Egg fried rice
Chicken Chow Mein

Dessert trolley selection
