This week at Loose Valley Care Home we’ve enjoyed a Seaside Memory Box which gave us an afternoon of talking about our memories of our seaside trips to Blackpool, Wales, Hastings and Folkestone.
We had a virtual journey down to the coast listening through sea shells to see if we could hear the sea – yes we could!
We had our buckets and spades and imitation ice-cream cones (we will get some real ones next time!).
Billy our cat joined in down at the seaside and enjoyed his time sunbathing with his knotted hankie on his head!
We sang beach songs such as ‘I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside‘, ‘The Sun has Got His Hat On‘ and ‘The Day we went to Bangor‘ which was great fun.
We had plenty of books and postcards to browse through too. Good times!
