Our lovely Marjorie celebrated a very happy 101st birthday with us on Sunday 30 January at Loose Valley Care Home.
Her son Laurence came to visit with his wife Kay and bought in a wonderful chocolate cake. She was so happy to see them and enjoyed a good chat.
During the day, Marjorie played her favourite game of Scrabble; she is known as ‘the Queen of Scrabble‘ as she is pretty good at it and usually comes top! Her birthday was no exception and she beat three other players including Paula from our Recreation and Well-Being Team!
Our birthday girl received lots of birthday cards, flowers, chocolates and two birthday cakes, no less!
A slice of cake and coffee was in order at 3pm, when she said she didn’t know which one to choose! Have a slice of both we said – go on, it’s your birthday!
Many happy returns Marjorie – we’re so pleased you had such a special day!
