Our date with Kevin
The wonderful Kevin Walsh came back to entrain us here at Loose Valley Care Home on Wednesday 8 January. He is a real favourite among residents and does a fabulous job to connect with each person – they all love him!
Kevin wowed us by singing hits from Engelbert Humperdinck to Cliff Richard, Daniel O’Donnell and Doris Day’s Que Sera Sera, with a few wartime songs as well.
Kevin makes everyone feel included; He immerses himself into the audience while getting them to join in and sing along. By handing the microphone to residents, holding their hands if they want to, or singing just to them for a few moments, Kevin doesn’t leave anyone out.
Members of staff love to dance and join in with him too!
