Loose Valley Care Home Summer Fete 2018

A big thank you to everyone who came, donated prizes and volunteered throughout the afternoon – what a great success!

Saturday 11 August proved an immensely successful day here at Loose Valley Care Home in Maidstone – our annual summer fete event.

Cathy, one of our lovely ladies, got proceedings off to a strong start with a formal welcome to the local Mayor, followed by a thank you to staff for the care and service they provide for everyone.

Everyone who attended the fete enjoyed music and a delicious barbecue lunch. Residents, staff and visitors had fun with the stocks, lucky dip, tombola, plus guess the weight of the cake, name the bear, guess how many sweets in the jar and hook a duck games – keeping the kids occupied and the parents skint!

We gave out some lovely prizes for the raffle and enjoyed lots of yummy cakes, scones, mini quiches and fruit – kindly donated to us by Berry Gardens in Linton.

And well done to Kay Bonny for ‘braving the shave’ for charity!

Kay Bonny, Care Assistant here at Loose Valley, decided to ‘brave the shave’ for Macmillan Cancer Support on 11 August – raising valuable funds for this worthy cause – a charity very close to her heart.

She was watched and supported by the local Mayor, Councillor David Naghi, and had pictures taken with him before and after. A massive well done Kay – you are certainly very brave!
