Loose Valley Care Home residents get dotty for Australia Day

Sunday 26 January marked Australia Day, so we enjoyed a group session of Aboriginal dot art at Loose Valley Care Home.

Our ladies and gents painted or coloured in Australian wildlife dot pictures, which was very therapeutic.

Celebrated annually on 26 January, Australia Day celebrates the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip.

It was lovely spending time together, enjoying a relaxing cuppa and a chat. We were also treated to an Australian Quiz which was great fun.

We hope you all had a happy Australia Day!
