Loose Valley Care Home residents create a splash of springtime

We enjoyed an afternoon of art and crafts at Loose Valley Care Home this week, creating pretty flowers out of tissue paper and felt.

We cut the flower shapes, stems, leaves and centres from templates and our Recreation and Well-Being Champion Paula showed her art students how to scrunch up the tissue paper with glue to make 3D daffodils or roses, with layers building them up to make the flowers come to life.

We used our imagination to make a colourful garden with grass and plant pots also out of felt.

It was an enjoyable session seeing the colourful display of spring flowers coming into bloom before our eyes.… these ones won’t need watering though!

We are delighted with our fantastic spring pictures, which look lovely displayed in our Home.
