Merry Christmas everyone
The wonderful Recreation and Well-Being Champions at Loose Valley Care Home – Paula, Hayley and Karen – got their Christmas thinking caps on and created a Santa’s grotto last week.
Hayley used brick patterned wallpaper, a frame for the roof and a snow blanket. Paula bought and painted a mini sleigh, and put a mini Santa inside. We then made his Santa sack out of red felt – complete with mini toys inside!
We added two illuminated reindeers and placed a red bauble on one of their noses for Rudolf. We all dressed the Christmas tree with decorations and placed lights all around the grotto – with wrapped presents as a finishing!
Paula also created a picture window using Christmas wrapping paper (snow and trees) and a shiny gold frame. We were almost ready for the photo – we just needed Santa Claus and his elves – cue the residents. And here we have the perfect photo!
