Our lovely resident Jean was delighted to receive a special video made by her son Geoff this week and sent in to us at Loose Valley Care Home.
The video showed Geoff’s lovely garden; little birds coming to his large pond to bathe and goldfish swimming around. It was so tranquil and so pretty, with pink roses in full bloom and full of perfume. There was also a large lavender bush that was attracting the bees, as well as a beautiful climbing clematis in full flower.
Geoff edited the video with writing on the screen as his mum has limited hearing. Jean really enjoyed reading about what her son was planting. At one point, the film showed Geoff watering some potatoes and she had a good laugh at him doing this!
She was so happy and loved the video – she said thank you to us for showing her, clapping her hands and putting her thumbs up!
Technology like this has played such a big part in keeping us all connected through lockdown. It’s wonderful to see how much joy videos bring.
