Our halloween preparations have been well under way here at Loose Valley Care Home this week and we’ve been busy with a range of themed activities
On Monday 28 October some of our ladies made some pumpkin scones. The ingredients included cooked and mashed pumpkin, flour, double cream and even lemonade! They tasted great with a cup of tea!
We got stuck into some pumpkin carving too, which was great fun. We helped our residents mark out their designs and scoop our the pumpkin flesh. We are very pleased with our finished carvings!
We’ve also made some Halloween decorations – cutout bats, cats, ghosts and pumpkins made from card and threaded with ribbon onto our little display tree.
Our reception area has had some little lights added too, to get us all in a seasonal mood!
