Gardening Club is a success at Loose Valley Care Home

We treated our residents at Loose Valley Care Home to a lovely gardening event on Wednesday 12 May – an activity that we hope to make permanent, as a featured club at our Home.

Gardening Club was a huge success and our residents were more than happy to get stuck into digging holes in the mud for potted plants, and mashing up foods to make fat cakes for the birds.

Needless to say, the birds in Loose Valley’s back garden won’t want for more this summer!

Everyone enjoyed chatting over a little tipple, whilst they made sure our new plants were safe in their beds.

Some of our residents have expressed an interest in cultivating a vegetable garden for future Gardening Club activities, so watch this space!

Fun was had by all and long may it continue!
