At Loose Valley Care Home, our residents love spending time with animals, and recently we’ve been treated to visits from some very special furry friends. Alongside our much-loved resident cat, Billy, we welcomed two extra visitors who brought plenty of smiles and cuddles to our Home.
Our Pets As Therapy dog, Bowie, joined us for his regular weekly visit on Thursday 27 November, proudly wearing his green bow tie as he made his way around our residents’ rooms with his owner. Bowie’s calm and friendly nature always makes his visits a highlight of the week.
We were also delighted to meet Luna, an adorable eight-week-old springer spaniel puppy belonging to Debbie from our Domestic Team. Full of energy and affection, Luna was a bundle of joy — and we’re thrilled that she’ll no doubt be visiting us regularly!
Our residents absolutely loved spending time with the animals – stroking, cuddling and playing with them. Even Billy and Bowie were introduced to their new four-legged friend! Animal interactions like these provide such valuable sensory and emotional stimulation, offering comfort and companionship. It was a truly heartwarming experience for everyone involved.
