Spanish travels
In preparation for our virtual trip to Spain on Monday 27 October here at Loose Valley Care Home, we’ve been getting creative with themed decorations. Using black card, we added plenty of sparkle with red, gold and blue glitter to create striking images of flamenco dancers, matadors and bulls.
We also crafted beautiful Spanish fans from card, coloured paper and lace doilies. These eye-catching creations will brighten our conservatory on the day – perfect for posing with as we enjoy a touch of Spanish flair!

Diwali
To celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, our residents enjoyed colouring vibrant pictures of oil lamps, candles, lanterns and Lakshmi the elephant god.
Together we talked about the meaning behind this beautiful festival – how families gather to share food, light fireworks and celebrate togetherness. It’s always lovely to learn about and appreciate different traditions from around the world.

Autumn
Autumn is such a beautiful season, full of rich colours and natural inspiration. Our residents used watercolours to paint trees, leaves, flowers and pumpkins in shades of orange, yellow, red and brown – capturing the beauty of the changing season.
These art sessions bring relaxation and joy, and it’s wonderful to display everyone’s creative work around our Home as decorations for our themed activities.
