On Wednesday 11 September it was Doug’s 79th birthday here at Loose Valley Care Home.
We celebrated with his choice of a delicious fruitcake with royal icing which had extra long candles on it for him to blow out!
On the Sunday before his birthday, his family took him back to their house and celebrated with a lovely dinner and a glass of bubbly. He came back with a goodie bag of sweets, presents and cards, and said he’d had a great time with his loved ones.
His grandchildren had been there and were trying to get him into their ball pit. Little William, the youngest member of the family, also tried to share Doug’s dinner with him!
