Tea and treats
Our residents at Loose Valley Care Home enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea this week, creating a memorable afternoon treat.
Our ladies and gentlemen enjoyed traditional finger sandwiches, small cakes, macarons, smoked salmon on crackers, and pâté on toast.
We also served Cream Tea with scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries, and we had a hydration boost with a glass of fizz.
Our Chef Joe and Paula (Activities) made it all very authentic with nice crockery, proper China pots and food attractively served on the three-tier plate stands so residents could also help themselves.
We made this a special occasion and hope that the traditional English treat helped stimulate precious memories or thoughts of going to the Ritz! Our residents spoke to our Chef and asked if we could make it a regular thing because they absolutely loved it!
